About Me

Abu Jandhal Umar Shariff

Having Abu Jandhal as his Kunya, Umar Shariff did his BA Islamic studies with Knowledge International University (KIU), KSA between 2007-12. He is also a graduate of Anna University, India where he did a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics & Communication. His passion for the Arabic Language led him to study Arabic at Qortoba Institute, Egypt around 2011

Umar has studied under Sh Ahmad Wahab, Sh Bilal Philips, Sh Assim al Hakeem, Sh Salim al Amry,  Sh Jamal Zarabozo, Sh Riaz Ansary, Sh Sajid Omar, Sh Yusuf Idris, & many. He holds Ijaza on Fiqh from Sh Aamir Bahjath (hafidhahum Allah)

Umar’s area of interest and experience revolves around education, IT with a specific focus on Islamic culture. His interest in teaching Islam most engaging and objective way led him to develop TACT REAL teaching methodology which he presented along with a renowned scholar, international speaker & educationalist Shaykh Dr. Bilal Philips

Umar’s Workshops & Lectures

Umar has formerly co-founded and R&D Head of Illume Academy, which focuses on building leadership qualities in the youth with authentic Islamic knowledge as its foundation.

Though Umar started his career in the IT industry, his love for education made him make a different decision and assume a different role. Umar was a former Director of Unity Group of Schools, Chennai & United India International School, Riyadh. Umar has consulted & helped set up numerous Islamic Schools

Where he is engaged at present?

Umar is currently Co-Founder & CEO of Halsimplify, a company focused on changing the status quo of Educational Institutions & SMBs.

Founder of Deeds For My Grave, Project envisioned to make Muslims around the globe invest for their life in Grave

Umar’s other Projects and roles:

b. Director of Da’wah Desk website (www.dawahdesk.com), a unique site envisioned to become “Da’wah office for every Da’ee.”
